Men from all across the South overwhelmingly came to the defense of the Confederacy and their homes. While the families stayed at home, these men bravely fought to preserve the government our Founding Fathers so bravely fought in the first American Revolution. Now this, the Second American Revolution, would try these brave men's spirits.

After four long years, our beloved General Lee was forced to surrender at Appomattox Courthouse. Contrary to popular myth, however, this was not the end of the Confederate Government whose leaders deflected farther South. Some left the country, but none surrendered. They left us an opening to restore our country to its rightful place as a free land.

Our lands were ravaged for four years during the war, but the worse was yet to come.

With our cities left in ruins and over half of our men left dead or permanently wounded, our nation suffered. Our state and local governments were forced out of office at gunpoint and the United States instituted its own governments in their place. With these illegitimate governments they then rewrote our state constitutions and fraudulently brought the states back into the Union.

The Southern Confederacy went through the pains of Reconstruction and has never fully recovered. It is time to reclaim a nation that rightfully belongs to us!
